Discover the Next Issue From the Authors of Official Prequel to Frank Herbert’s ‘Dune’ in August 2023

LOS ANGELES, CA (August 9, 2023) – BOOM! Studios today revealed a first look at DUNE: HOUSE HARKONNEN #8, the latest issue of a brand new twelve-issue comic book series expanding the rich mythology of Frank Herbert’s Dune. The second official, NYT Bestselling prequel to Dune is adapted for the first time by award-winning novelists Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson and artist Fran Galán (Lucky Devil), colorist Patricio Delpeche, and letterer Ed Dukeshire, unveiling a closer look at the rising conflict between beloved characters and bitter villains and available in stores August 2023.

In reality not all Harkonnens are as cruel as they say, as Abulurd makes an important decision that will send the Baron and Rabban into a vengeful pursuit. And as the tension rises in the thrilling prequel adaptation by authors Brian Herbert & Kevin J. Anderson, the Teilaxu commit unthinkable acts on Ix, Duncan takes a significant step in his training, and Liet faces an impossible and deadly choice on Arrakis!

DUNE: HOUSE HARKONNEN #8 features main and variant cover art by highly acclaimed artist Raymond Swanland (Magic: The Gathering) and variant covers by artists Reiko Murakami (The Sandman Universe: Nightmare Country), and Zu Orzu (Grim).

Created by visionary writer Frank Herbert, Dune debuted in 1965, has sold millions of copies and is arguably the most admired science fiction novel of all time. After winning the Hugo Award and inaugural Nebula Award, Dune inspired a best-selling novel series and led to multiple live-action adaptations, including the upcoming feature film from Legendary Pictures. The influence of Dune extends well beyond the world of entertainment, with an incalculable influence on modern scientific thinking about politics, religion, outer space, environmentalism, and more.
